Rakus's sire Royal Dance was winner of Oldenburg junior approval. Royal Dance infuses blood from two of the most popular bloodlines, with Rubinstein and Donnerhall. The damsire, double team world champion Donnerhall is probably the most significant stallion of his generation. No other stallion has succeeded in establishing standards equally well both in breeding and in sport as Donnerhall has.

Royal Dance sired the stallion Royal Hit, who stands at Paul Schckemoehle's farm. Royal Dance has also sired multiple States Premium mares and top Auction horses. In 2003 there were 8 State Premium mares by Royal Dance at the Oldenburg Elite Mare Showin Rastede. Royal Dance stands at stud in Holland, and is also approved Oldenburg, Westfalen, and Rheinland. The Westphalian Weltcup II is a grandson of Wendekreis. At the 2002 Oldenburg stallion approval the 1c premium was awarded to a young stallion by Royal Dance.

Rakus' bloodlines have given him the gifts and talents to complement most any mare. He is stunning in person. His delicate head and impeccable conformation are strong characteristics that will pass on to his get. His incredible movement under-saddle will easily complement any mare. He is gifted over-fences and is showing his "natural" aptitude to jump both as a hunter and a jumper. He has good bone and correct legs. His most notable attribute is his very calm demeanor and beautiful "look." He is currenlty showing in the First Year Green Conformation Hunters. Look for him this spring at Devon!
